I have been working on some holiday card designs using some templates that I purchased and designing some with papers and embellishments that I have. I love photoshop, it is like digital scrapbooking with a bang!

Welcome to my Blog

Wow, so I created this blog years ago and have never used it! Now, since I have finally starting a photography website, (I know right, can you believe it? Looks like she can be taught!) and since said website is linked to my blog (that is sooo cool!) I feel obligated to actually use my blog!
OK, so since I am new to blogdom and am not really sure what to blog about, today I will welcome anyone who visits this site and kind of introduce myself.
My name is JoAnn and one of my serious hobbies is photography. I love shooting and I love editing and creating designs in Photoshop. I think I have always loved photography, but I bought my first SLR (Single Lens Reflex) camera in 1989 after the birth of my second daughter and have been shooting every since. It took a whole paycheck (2 weeks of a nurse's salary), but it was worth every penny. I have since added some lenses and upgraded to a DSLR , but the feel behind the lens is still the same...love! My mother was a talented artist, she painted, sketched and worked in clay. While, I have difficulty drawing stick figures, photography helps me express my creative side.
By profession, I am a Nurse. I have a Master's degree in Nursing with Women's Health as my specialty, and have worked as a nurse in Women's Health for over 23 years...yep, I'm old, but I feel blessed to have had an amazing career working with mothers and their sweet babies!
